How To Ockapedia

This article has been designed for new inspiring writers of Ockapedia. If you are here you've probably just joined and have over 9000 pages worth of Win material in your brain. However before one can Ockapedia properly one must learn the ways of the Ockapede:

DOING IT RIGHT

Use correct and consistent punctuation in your articles. I know this sounds like a basic thing but you'd be surprised at how many people don't do it.

When creating an article make sure to start with the subject in bold. This helps make the article look more wikipedia-ish.

Try to split your article into useful sections if long. Use ++ before text to create a level 2 heading.

Everyone knows pictures say over 9000 words so try to include useful visual aids in your articles. See the Binoculars article for the code for a right-aligned float box. External images can be used but don't choose large ones that will take up the whole page as they can't be resized. You can also upload your own image using the "files" button at the bottom of the page.

When writing an article, if you refer to things that have their own articles already use the "page link" button to link people to it during the article.

To add your article to the main menu go to the nav:top page and edit the bullet pointed structure with a link to your article in the appropiate category. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T DELETE IT ITS NOT AUTOMATIC
